I am a CNA I have worked in nursing homes, I know with COVID it is crazy however there is no reason for their treatment of personal belongings of residents and how their families are dealt with. My Aunt was here for a short time and was sent to the hospital and from there to a facility in Phoenix. We have called MANY times for her things that we took her while in Granite Creek. Among those items are a bible and pictures of her kids and money. NONE OF WHICH CAN BE ACCOUNTED FOR. They can not tell us where these items went. The social services person, Tristen has not called us back on anything we have called for even when she was in the facility.

I was talking to a male patient that was getting released the next day and he told me he was there for 86 days and he lost 28 pounds because he couldn't eat the food because it was so bad. When his kids let him know they were coming to visit he begged them to bring in food. As I mentioned before the night shift was awful and this is when all of this happened. The beds were from the 60s or 70s and they have a bar right in the middle of the bed so you can't get comfortable and your back is constantly hurting. I'm 44, I was sent there because I had a stroke and needed full time care.
I feel confident in stating that Granite Creek truly believes in putting patient care first. The morning staff and therapist are great but the night staff is horrible beyond words. I complained that the back of my left leg hurt and it to me complaining and crying two days for a doctor to check it out and I was sent by ambulance to the hospital to find out I had a clot. At night when you pushed your call button it took 30 minutes or longer to get help. Three days later I was rushed to the hospital because of it. The nurse that night was horrible and had no clue on what to do.
